An Industrial Process Control Studio (IPCS) Development Tool: The IEC 61131-3 Model Capture Features

We present in this paper the model capture module of an industrial process control studio development tool dedicated to industrial control and process automation. It is through this module that the user is given an avenue to capture or model relevant abstract control problems for rapid prototyping on programmable logic controllers (PLCs) as well as embedded microprocessor systems or even FPGA-based controllers.
