International Geosphere and Biosphere Program (IGBP) metadata information system for globally distributed data sets

A pilot project to demonstrate the feasibility of a metadata information system for globally distributed data sets needed for International Geosphere and Biosphere Program (IGBP) research has been initiated by the IGBP Data and Information System Office (IGBP-DIS).
