Low-temperature magnetic ordering and 4f electrons effect in high-T/sub c/ DyBa/sub 2/Cu/sub 3/O/sub 7-/spl delta superconducting single crystal

The results of differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) from 320 K to 870 K and specific heat measurements from 0.1 K to 2 K are reported. DSC revealed "ortho(P/mmm)-para(P4/nmm)" structural phase transition at 690 K. The /spl lambda/ like anomaly in the specific heat curve at T/sub m/=0.72 K is attributed to the antiferromagnetic ordering of Dy/sup 3+/ ions and the crystalline field effect.<
