LowNo/sub x/ pyro-systems design and operation

Proven equipment designs that are presently available for the reduction of No/sub x/ emissions are outlined. Operational results of these modern burning techniques for lower NO/sub x/ emission and improved operating conditions are presented. The design of today's cement pyro-line is outlined and how attention to detail in a few important areas can reduce NO/sub x/ emissions by up to 50% compared to a similar preheater kiln of the 1970s is discussed.<
