A new approach for analysis of transient scattering from arbitrarily shaped 3D dielectric bodies

In this paper a novel stable time-domain approach is presented to compute the scattering from arbitrarily shaped 3D dielectric objects. The method applies both electric and magnetic field boundary conditions on the surfaces of homogeneous structures while considering the electric currents as unknowns. For triangular patches, modeling the surface of the composite body, RWG basis functions are utilized. To solve the resultant integral equations the implicit method of moments is used. The scattered electric and magnetic fields inside and outside the body which are dependent only on the electric surface currents are computed with less effort compared with other methods using both equivalent electric and magnetic surface currents.
