Environmental aspects of 800 kV line design in India

The authors discuss the impact of 800 kV lines with respect to ecological and environmental aspects, electrostatic and electromagnetic fields, radio and television interference, audible noise, and associated possible biological effects, on human beings and flora and fauna. In particular the authors discuss tree top clearances of the power lines, electric field effects, and corona performance including TVI and RFI.<
