"Brazing of molybdenum and tungsten"

A method is described of brazing molybdenum and tungsten parte of a magnetron cathode which operates at high temperatures. The brazing medium is ruthenium powder or mixtures of ruthenium and molybdenum powders. Evidence of a eutectic, melting at about 1,900°C was obtained. In production, an atmosphere of forming gas is used with a blazing temperature of 2,lOO°C (optical).
