Design of CMOS front-end for multi-standard receiver (WCDMA and 802.11a)

Nowadays, the need for a multi-standard transceiver is rapidly increasing, so we review the design method of an RF front-end for a multi-standard receiver and design an RF front-end that support both WCDMA and IEEE 802.11a WLAN standards. It consists of variable gain LNAs and a flexible input matched reconfigurable mixer that can be operated from 2/spl sim/6 GHz. The design uses 0.25 /spl mu/m CMOS technology and simulation is performed by Cadence spectreRF.
