The calculation of the transient performance in the PMSM with the time-stepping FEM based

A complete model of field-circuit coupled for time-stepping finite element analysis is presented in this paper, which is used in analyzing self-start permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM). Four technology are discussed: how to build difference equation, how to deal with the rotator movement, how to take account of the PM, and how to decrease the torque's calculate error based on the field. Using this model, the transient starting performance and the torque shake in the steady state are analyzed.
