Double-ended transformer-based multi-phase converters

Conventional multi-phase buck converters, as one of today's major solutions for high current low voltage telecom and microprocessor power supplies, face severe challenges as the converter duty cycle becomes extremely small, and power density/switching frequency becomes higher and higher. This paper introduces non-isolated transformer-based multi-phase converter solutions that extend duty cycles to a favorable range to improve both steady state and dynamic performance.
