An error analysis for 2-D block implemented digital filters

This correspondence considers error analysis of block-implemented 2-D digital filters. Expressions for error bound and mean-square error for roundoff error accumulation are derived using fixed-point arithmetic, and compared with the results obtained using ordinary 2-D difference equations.
