Machine recognition of the Cantonese digits using bandpass filters

This work presents the results of an experiment on machine recognition of the Cantonese digits (0-10) using spectral matching. A two-step procedure was used in the normalization and weighting of the filter outputs. It was observed that the scores varied from 55-100 percent.
