Numerical simulation of water quality in coastal waters and estuaries

Assessment of the influence of waste discharges in estuaries necessary for water quality management in these waters. The model described here was developed for well-mixed estuaries and coastal seas in which salinity distributions at any point are uniform over the vertical. Well-mixed regions generally occur when considerable tidal flow exists together with a limited flow of fresh water.
