Hyperfast diffused-silicon diode and transistor for logic circuits

THE BELL TELEPHONE LARORATORIES has brought to the manufacturing stage a silicon-diffused diode and a silicon-diffused transistor which provide opportunities for major advance in logic circuit design. These devices have the high reliability and temperature operability of silicon devices and the high speed and low-cost attributes inherent in diffusion type devices. Two circuits, (TRL, LLL) which exploit the capabilities of these devices are described.
