CW operation in some CO lines below 5.0 µ

CW laser emission has been observed from a He-N
2
- O
2
-CO laser on six vibration-rotation lines of carbon monoxide that lie below 5.0 μ. The lines correspond to
V = 3:2
and
V = 4:3
transitions.
