Low-Frequency Magnetic Field and Cancer Cells

This study delves into the influence of low-frequency magnetic field exposure on the regulation of growth rates in HT-1080 fibrosarcoma cells. Initially, experiments are conducted at a frequency matching the typical power distribution system frequency of 50 Hz. A magnetic field with a static field magnitude of 45 µT and 100 µT of alternating current is created to align with the ICNIRP normative values for verification. Subsequently, variations in both the frequency and magnitude of the magnetic field are introduced to observe their distinct effects on the growth of fibrosarcoma cells.
