One-dimensional domain wall motion with an in-plane field applied at an arbitrary angle

The authors use a previously developed general procedure for calculating the configuration and stability limits of a steadily translating lossless one-dimensional domain wall in the case of orthorhombic anisotropy with a field applied perpendicular to the easy axis at arbitrary angle. The regions where the three previously identified breakdown mechanisms occur in this more general case are mapped. A scaling procedure obtained from a refined analysis improves the solution accuracy in those cases in which a transition from a stable to an unstable orientation appears in regions far from the wall center.<
