Economic dispatch of microgrid with electric bicycles based on pattern search and particle swarm algorithm

Focusing on the grid-connected microgrid with electric bicycles, an economic dispatch model considering operating costs and environmental governance costs was established on the basis of taking into account cost depletion of the energy storage system. Pattern search and PSO have been proposed to solve the model through effective combining the pattern search algorithm with strong local mining ability and PSO with strong global mining ability. Specifically, global search was conducted through the pattern search within the feasible domain before performing a local search on the better solution search using the search pattern for global optimizing, so as to enhance the accuracy of the solution. At last, the optimal dispatch strategy of the microgrid with electric bicycles in different scenarios has been simulated and analyzed through examples. The result showed that the microgrid dispatching with electric bicycles can lower economic costs. And the proposed hybrid algorithm of pattern search and PSO could obtain a superior solution with a good convergence in comparison with the original PSO.
