Printed Radiating and Radiation Pattern - Forming Elements for Digital Antenna Arrays Purposes

The article is divided into the following three topics, based on a systematic approach. The first one describes the newly proposed dipole-like printed antenna, which is assembled as a pair of parallel-placed linear end-fed drivers. The arrangement used allows extending the classical central-fed dipole radiators with the ones using nontrivial excitation technique. The second topic relates to the problems of the matching network modernization in broadband rectennas for radio frequency energy harvesting (RFEH). A novel approach for a creation of a rectenna for the RFEH is presented in the article for the first time. The last topic is devoted to designing the phased antenna array with Butler matrix 8x8. The results of computer modeling of a diagram-forming device - a Butler matrix 8x8 are presented and discussed in detail.
