Abstract:

While the impact of an individual, residential, and small commercial sized Distributed Generation (DG) might be insignificant for many distribution cooperatives, in aggregate they can begin to create unforeseen issues with the distribution system. Planning tools were needed to determine the amount of small interconnected DER allowable on the system without requiring system improvements.
