Building Recognition in Static Images

In this paper we address the problem of recognizing buildings in static images. The method described is intended to be used to identify touristic landmarks in a set of vacation photos, while using few resources, and without the aid of consecrated, online solutions. For the task, we adapt feature extraction and feature description algorithms, while employing a low level, geometrical approach in descriptor matching. We present and comment our results, pointing out advantages and disadvantages.
