Temperature Automatic Controlling Sensor Based on Fe3O4-Water Ferrofluid

In the intelligent age, sensors are the extensively used key parts in the intelligent machines. In this paper, an automatic controlling sensor based on electric current varying with temperature in ferrofluid is proposed. When Fe₃ O₄ particles wrapped surfactant and distributed into water carrier (Fe₃ O₄-W-MF) is under stable electric voltage, the electric current is linear increasing with the temperature rising. It is said that Fe₃ O₄-W-MF resistance could be decreased with temperature rising. According to this property of Fe₃ O₄-W-MF, a current-temperature automatic controlling sensor is to be designed. Experiment proved that the current-temperature automatic controlling sensor suggested in this paper can work correctly. The current-temperature automatic controlling sensor on Fe₃ O₄-W-MF could be used in some arduous conditions such as mine well.
