100 Years - Evolution of Electrical Engineering Curriculum

The evolution of the society towards an economy that is based on knowledge and information determines a new definition of electrical engineering. In this paper, it is considered a different approach regarding the electrical energy systems as power systems that are controlled with the use of microprocessors, taking as reference the situation from 100 years ago. New tendencies that can be found in the reform of electrical engineering curricula are discussed and also some invariants.
