Abstract:

Radio blackout has confused the aero-space industry for decades, and the first step to solving this issue is to gain deep insight into the characteristics of plasma sheath channels. Thus, in this paper we propose a method to estimate the transmission coefficient and amplitude-frequency response of plasma sheath channels. We validated our method with simulations. Of course, this method has limitations-especially when the incident wave frequency is higher than the corresponding cutoff frequency of the plasma sheath, the estimation accuracy deviates somewhat. This method will contribute to our future understanding of the channel characteristics of the plasma sheath.
