Ergonomics in Early Phase Design in Industry – Proposals for Future Development Actions

This article discusses how human factors and ergonomics (HFE), combined with work study methods, can contribute to industrial design and management processes. A brief overview of the state of the art of the utilization of HFE and work study methods in Finland is provided, and discussion is initiated regarding the possibilities for future utilization.
