Vibrational spectroscopy of tissue-engineered structures based on chitosan and carbon nanotubes

This paper presents a study of structures based on chitosan and single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNT) carried out by vibrational spectroscopy methods (IR and Raman). Volumetric structures were created by the layer-by-layer laser evaporation of aqueous dispersion. The nature of the intermolecular bonds between nanotubes and chitosan has been clarified. These structures can be used for the cellular- and tissue engineering of the cardiovascular system.
