Rapid decontamination of large surface areas

The effectiveness of the decontamination of biological agents (spores) on surfaces by two thermal plasma systems is reported. Using existing systems, operating at nonoptimum conditions, a steam plasma decontaminated surfaces at a maximum speed of 1.4 mph and a nitrogen plasma decontaminated at a maximum of 2.4 mph.
