Novel vivaldi antenna based on balanced-unbalanced feed

In view of the adverse effect of the unbalanced feed and the surface current of Vivaldi antenna, the author makes the feed balanced and controls the surface current by adding the sleeve of the coaxial feeder and slotting the antenna floor to enhance the performance of Vivaldi antenna. The surface current of the coaxial cable outer conductor is well suppressed, which makes the bad influences that the feeding structure caused to the antenna radiation characteristics reduced a lot. And for the radiation patch of the Vivaldi antenna, the surface current is more concentrated, the gain is 3 dB greater than that of the general form at working frequency, and the side lobe is also smaller in the radiation pattern.
