Early warning model for marine organism detection in nuclear power stations

Early warning of marine organism invasion is an effective method to prevent unit blockage of nuclear power stations and protect the normal operation of nuclear power stations. In this study, an early warning model for marine organism invasion in water intake of nuclear power stations was established. The density of marine organisms and size and direction of ocean current were considered. The method of fitting and interpolating existing data was used to determine early warning threshold and model parameters. Results showed that invasion intensity values and warning levels can be depicted effectively by the early warning model on the basis of marine organism density and the relative speed of ocean current.
