Implement of extended shortcut tree routing for ZigBee-based car park wireless sensor management system

With the increase in the number of cars, concerns for car parking are becoming more and more urgent in recent years. This paper promotes a ZigBee-based car park wireless sensor management system to deal with it. The core concern of this system is wireless devices' power consumption and stability. Extended Shortcut Tree Routing (ESTR) algorithm is used for the ZigBee routing protocol to adapt to practical application. Besides, routing protocols such as ZigBee tree routing (ZTR), and Shortcut tree routing (STR) are also tested to compare their performance of sustainability. The duration of ESTR algorithm in the system is much longer than ZTR and STR.
