Abstract:
This paper presents a new partial transmit sequence (PTS) technique. It is used to effectively reduce the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) technology and is implemented to solve the PAPR problem in the multiple-input/multiple-output orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) technology. To achieve better PAPR performance, a quite large calculation cost must be demanded and the number of sub-blocks should be increased which is the sub-blocks using phase rotation factors to minimize PAPR over all transmit antennas and receive antennas. In our simulation results, it is shown the PAPR performance improves when it is compared to the conventional PTS (U = 4) in the ordinary MIMO-OFDM systems.
