Low cost EMC test environments

The most cost effective test environment is an open area test site (OATS), however, there are a number of inherent problems with OATS as a total solution to the test environment. These are briefly discussed. OATS does have place in the test arena. If OATS is used in conjunction with an EMI benign environment (screened room) it can offer some major advantages; these are illustrated.<
