Dynamic power system simulation for real time dispatcher training

The simulation of the power system is one of the basic tasks of the dispatcher training simulator (DTS). It enables responses to the trainee's actions in a manner consistent with the power system operation. The authors briefly outline the structure of a training simulator and then concentrate on the modeling of the power system. The following models are provided to simulate the dynamics of the power system and the data acquisition; turbine and governor model; boiler model; generator model; load model; frequency calculation model; relay model; voltage regulator model; network model; and telemetry model.<
