A new inductor series-peaking technique for bandwidth enhancement of CMOS current-mode circuits

This paper presents a new bandwidth enhancement technique, namely inductor series-peaking, for CMOS current-mode circuits. A novel negative current-current feedback mechanism is employed to reduce the value of the series-peaking inductance and increase bandwidth. Both the series-peaking technique and the current-current feedback do not affect the supply voltage and the DC biasing conditions. Theoretical analysis and simulation results are presented.
