Development of Weft Thread Projectile Accelerator Concept for Wearing Loom

The team of authors has developed a projectile weaving machine concept based on the application of loom gas pedal technology and a combination of the "Reducer" starting technology as well as a proprietary and developed needle shape changing technology and a needle return system. On the market there are gas pedals, the principle of which is based on deformation of the launching body and its storing of potential energy, which is released at the moment of the needle launch. The design of the projectile launcher under development provides the possibility of uninterrupted operation of the device, as well as the control of the speed and position of the needle. No software has been developed for analogs to control the projectile launch. In the future it is planned to develop software and SCADA system to control the developed launch of the projectile, based on the data presented in the work. The work shows the scheme of the system and the developed shape of the needle. A model of the projectile launching system and its description are given.
