Abstract:

The purpose of this standard is to define thermal limit curves and to establish a standard procedure for the construction and presentation of these curves. The working group will also attempt to harmonize this standard with ANSI/IEEE 37.96.
Scope:
Squirrel Cage Induction Motors, 250 HP and above and designed for specified load an application conditions will be covered.
Purpose:
The purpose is to define thermal limit curves and to establish a standard procedure for the construction and presentation of these curves. The working group will also attempt to harmonize this standard with ANSI/IEEE 37.96. This guide will replace the ANSI/IEEE Std. 620 (Trial Use Guide).
