The search of the beta and alpha unstable isotopes among stable nuclides

This paper is devoted to the search of the unstable nuclides among stable ones. The simple criteria of instability permits to predict alpha-decay and beta-decay of the some "stable" nuclides. Authors consider that alpha decay of /sup 184/Os and /sup 186/Os nuclides can be discovered during the nearest time.

1. Introduction

In spite of the tremendous amount of information about nuclides we do not know all unstable natural isotopes. During the last decades the seven beta - unstable and eight alpha - unstable natural nuclides were found among, the stable chemical elements. They are beta - unstable and alpha - unstable . We have not made a systematic search of the probable alpha - unstable natural nuclides among the stable chemical elements. But we make pretense of having a complete list of the probable beta - unstable natural nuclides among stable chemical elements.
