Abstract:

The paper discuses a Nobel design of a multilayer patch antenna with multiband applications such as GPS, IRNSS, and 4G cellular networks. The design aspects and simulation of a right hand circularly polarized, multi-band, two-layer stack microstrip antenna for IRNSS, GPS, Wi-Fi, Satellite, and Mobile Networks Communications operating on L-band and S-band frequencies. The structure is design using High frequency structure simulator (HFSS) software. The antenna with a dimension of 100\times 100\times 4.75\text{mm}^{3} is integrated on substrate with undeflected ground plane at bottom. Both the patches consist of metal surfaces, and ROGERS RT/DUROID-5880(tm) with 2.2 dielectric constant and FR4 EPOXY with 4.4 dielectric constant is used as a substrate material. The given multilayer design has been evaluated based on various properties and parameters corresponding to Return loss, VSWR, Radiation pattern, Electric field, Magnetic field and Gain.
