Abstract:

This paper focus on the idea of automatic lightning system and peculiar way of implementation with embedded tool systems. The proposed method is used to measure and control the intensity of light in room which is essential and good for vision for a particular work. Also with user adjustable light intensity control without using LUX meter and light sensors required intensity is obtained. This technique is implemented with help of LDR's, microprocessor and IRF520 MOSFET Driver Module to measure as well as to control the intensity of light as per the requirement of the user. In this project four LDR' are placed at four different corners of the room precisely taken care of their blockage of light. The required intensity of light is obtained by taking the average of all four LDR's and compared with the reference intensity of the light as specified by the user. Accordingly the whole intensity of the room is adjusted by using the MOSFET, it stepup the arduino voltage to a value able to drive some higher loads. This project reduces the power consumption as well as eye strain for the user to execute the smart work in real time application.

I. Introduction

IN recent years automation is booming in the industry with the fast pace requirement of replacing primitive operation with quite intelligence is required. Smart lighting is the emerging technology, every time new attempts are made to introduce new technologies for smart lighting. As well as the lighting system play a crucial role in domestic power consumption which includes household applications, office sites and malls [1]. The power consumption and proper utilization has become a major problem in the present day scenario towards smart utilization. Right now the supply is effectively utilized with help of modern techniques i.e. switch ON and OFF the necessary electric device automatically when the person entering and leaving the room. But the next step towards smartness involves automatic self controllable light intensity accordinggg to the user choice [2]. For example intensity of light required in reading room is 500-1000Lux, for kitchen 5000-10000lumens and living room 1500-3000lumens and so on thus it varies according to the requirement to maintain better vision for proper accessibility of things around etc. But in almost every household same wattage of lights has been used in all the rooms. In practice some of the rooms require high intensity of light, some may be normal and others require less intensity of light. Due to lack of awareness these factors which makes severe damage to our power of vision. In practice, the lighting system plays a vital role in almost every workspace. All the sectors they are using lights even in the day time, noon time and evenings obviously during night time. But most of time the lights are using them unnecessarily mainly during forenoon such intensity of light around us which damage our eye sight dangerously. Also improper utilization of lights around uselessly almost of required is provided by SUN alone naturally. It is also includes wastage of light energy and power indeed.
