Abstract:

This paper shows a new activity of SICE related to the standardization in Industrial Automation. SICE made a new committee for this activity. It is supported by many industrial societies, including MSTC (Manufacturing Science and Technology Center), JEMIMA (Japan Electric Measuring Instruments Manufacturers' Association), JARA (JApan Robot Association). One significant role of SICE is to prepare an interactive field for collaboration among these societies, such as organizing IS (International Standard) sessions at ICCAS-SICE 2009.
