Abstract:
The World Health Organization reports that cardiovascular diseases account for 32% of global deaths, with coronary heart diseases and strokes being significant contributors. Addressing this, our work introduces a new approach using piezoelectric sensors to detect blood clots in vessels, integrating hydrodynamics and blood viscoelasticity theories. This method tracks blood flow changes, helping to identify clot formation or plaque accumulation by analyzing changes in vessel radius and blood velocity. This innovative, non-invasive technique offers a promising tool for blood coagulation monitoring, potentially benefiting global health by aiding in early detection and assessment of cardiovascular risks.
