Abstract:
The metaverse, combined with virtual reality (VR) technology, holds the potential to revolutionize industries, including automotive sales. This study proposes a VR showroom for car sales within the metaverse, aiming to overcome physical showroom limitations by offering an expansive virtual experience. This digital showroom, tailored to individual preferences and the latest automotive trends, eliminates geographical boundaries, providing access to numerous car models without extensive travel. Using VR, users are plunged into a vivid digital space, giving them a sensation of being physically present amidst the cars. This heightened sense of immersion enhances user engagement, influencing purchase decisions. Additionally, the metaverse fosters social interactions. Car buyers can converse with friends, family, or experts in real-time within this digital space, making the purchasing process a collaborative and community-driven experience. Emerging technologies also play a pivotal role. Artificial intelligence can provide tailored recommendations, while real-time data integration keeps users informed about prices, available stock, and financing options, ensuring transparency. Moreover, the convergence of augmented reality (AR) with VR allows users to visualize these virtual cars in their actual surroundings, bridging the gap between the digital showroom and real-world test drives. In summary, leveraging VR within the metaverse can revolutionize the car buying journey. This proposed VR showroom aims to blend digital and physical experiences, redefining automotive retail by breaking geographical constraints, enhancing user engagement, and integrating cutting-edge technologies.
