Abstract:

Dehydration is a condition where the body experiences a lack of fluids due to various factors. Dehydration can cause various problems, such as decreased physical and brain performance, decreased body health, complications, or illness, and even death. Therefore, measuring and monitoring the body's hydration is very important for everyone. However, manual measurement and monitoring can be inefficient, inaccurate, and inconsistent. Through this research, the solution offered is the development of an H2OHUB smart water dispenser connected to the H2OHUB application. H2OHUB can monitor and measure daily hydration more efficiently and accurately. This study uses flow sensors and load cells to measure the amount of water dispensed by the dispenser. Using the ESP32 microcontroller enables computing effectively and communication between the dispenser and the application. The H2OHUB application provides a user-friendly interface, including instructions and GIF images, to enhance user experience. The results of this study are that the H2OHUB smart dispenser can provide high consistency and accuracy up to 99.93%, and the H2OHUB application can store personal data and calculate individual daily hydration needs. Therefore, this study concludes that the H2OHUB smart dispenser solution and the H2OHUB application can improve efficiency and ease monitoring and controlling body hydration levels. Through accurate and consistent measurements, along with the supportive features provided by the application, users can maintain proper body hydration and prevent dehydration.
