Abstract:
Kubernetes is essential for keeping up with the advancements in technology driven by cloud computing, as the need for streamlined and scalable container management will only intensify in the future. This paper presents a cloud-agnostic Kubernetes solution, offered both as a command-line utility and a cloud-native application, that supports many emergent technologies such as edge computing, hybrid deployments, deep learning containers or serverless computing having Kubernetes as backbone. The proposed platform brings advantages to public as well as private clouds. On the one hand, using it in public clouds offers a cheaper alternative of implementing Kubernetes-as-a-Service; on the other hand, its implementation in private clouds has several benefits over competing solutions: ease of use, native support for GPU containers, web user interface, greater speed and a more efficient resource consumption.
