Abstract:

The difficulty of discerning air quality in our vicinity makes it an intriguing subject to investigate in the medical field. Variances in air quality can positively or negatively impact individuals' health. For instance, nasal illnesses can be caused by relative humidity. Prolonged exposure to low humidity levels can lead to dryness of the skin, nose, and eyes. In contrast, high humidity can stimulate the production of mucus in the nose and throat, resulting in congestion, sneezing, and a runny nose. This research aims to expose people to high (70%) humidity and low (30) humidity level and see if they will develop any nasal symptoms. Consequently, the researchers have designed an Arduino-controlled device to alert individuals in extremely low or high humidity.
