Abstract:
Using the pulsed laser deposition method high quality few atomic layers of MoS2 continuous films were grown on glass and flexible polyimide substrates. Comparative studies of XRD, Raman scattering, photoluminescence and optical absorption spectra confirm the correlation between the strain effects and properties of the films appearing due to the large mismatch between the thermal expansion coefficients of the substrate and ultrathin MoS2 layers.
