Reduction of Capacitively Coupled Wireless Power Transfer Loss Under Sea

High salinity in the sea obstructs the efficient propagation of electromagnetic energy. The reduction of conduction current loss, however, may improve the power transfer efficiency, by shielding each electrode used for capacitively coupled wireless power transfer system. Though the proposed new system still suffers from moderate efficiency due to the cancellation of coupling coefficient between 4 electrodes, it will be solved by adjustment of electrodes' configuration. In addition, it could be further improved by suppression of electrochemical effect.
