Analysis on the phase noise degradation of an optoelectronic oscillator submitted to vibrations

We present our recent investigations on the acceleration sensitivity of an ultra-low phase noise optoelectronic oscillator operating at 10 GHz. We measured the OEO phase noise degradation, submitting successively every component to vibration. The fiber spool is the bottleneck, with a 10

sensitivity. We also performed optical intensity noise and laser frequency noise measurements under vibration, showing coupling mechanisms from vibration to phase noise degradation.
