Dynamics modeling and simulation on single-base propellant deterrent coating process

In order to study the influence of the deterrent coating process parameters of single-base propellant on its deterrent coating mass uniformity, based on the Discrete Element Method (DEM), the dynamics model of the deterrent coating process is established. The effect of different deterrent coating process parameters (such as drum speed, drum inclination and spray angle, etc.) on the coating mass uniformity of the propellant is simulated. The results show that within a certain range, the greater the rotating drum speed, the coating mass uniformity of the propellant is better; the larger the drum inclination angle, the coating mass uniformity of propellant is better; under the condition of a certain spray flow, the larger the spray angle, the coating mass uniformity of propellant is better. This study provides a strong theoretical basis for studying the deterrent manufacturing process of single-base propellant.
