Transmission Wire Breeze Vibration Calculation and Smart Protection Using Inertial Tuning Mass Dampers

Inertial tuning mass damper (TMDI) is a new type of active vibration reduction device. To study the effect of TMDI dampers on the transmission line wind vibration control, in this paper, the micro-vibration suppression mechanism of the transmission line-inertial system is mainly studied. Firstly, the fixed-point theory method is used to obtain the optimal frequency, optimal damping and maximum power coefficient of TMDI by making the two amplitudes extremely large. Secondly, the dynamic equation is established by MATLAB to verify it. Finally, according to the inherent characteristics of TMDI and FR-3 anti-vibration hammer, an ANSYS model is established to compare the results of the analysis. The results show that the new inertial tuning mass damper (TMDI) absorbs the vibration better, and the new damper is more effective than the energy consumption power of the traditional anti-vibration hammer at low frequency (13-24Hz), which provides a reference for the practical application of the TMDI damper in the transmission line wind vibration control.
